Bubbles of Happiness
Every morning it has become his routine. He wakes up, looks at his mobile and smiles like an idiot. I asked him, "what was it?" He says there's this girl who fascinates him the most, the sight of her puts a smile on his face. "Thanks to the inventor of Instagram", he laughed away with a blush.
That's how it started. Mad about zodiacs, he kept checking how compatible they were. A Libra and a Taurus. Compatibility-check. Went forward started following her on Instagram. "❤1" came a notification in his smartphone. She not just accepted his follow request, she actually liked his picture. 172 was the pulse-rate. "That's how it feels, when your crush actually starts liking you" he blushed.
Isn't it just another random like on Instagram? :P
Two days passed and he came running to me. "We just became friends on Facebook :D" I'm sure he had 32 teeth, God that grin he had!
So it's supposed be taken as a sign that she likes him? Isn't it the normal way, that love happens only when people express their feelings and not by subtle hints?
It was 2 a.m. *ting* *ting* *ting* *...* *... I was scared looking at the way his phone was notifying him the messages. Fricking 20 messages and the next thing I see is he was jumping on his bed. I ask him what and he says "She just said she loves the way I talk :D". He burst out into tears and said, I'm gonna meet her tomorrow for the first time & I'll propose my love to her. That's exactly when I stopped listening to him anymore.
Love, isn't it the same with everyone? I couldn't see another person committing the same mistake again. My thoughts went back to 2014, the time when I happened to see a girl and fell in love with her, the moment I saw her.
I stopped his speech and asked him to listen to me for a while. Guess he trusted me, he started staring at me wondering what I would speak. "10 days after I saw her, we met. Flowers in my hand, hope of getting her in my life, and a lot of nervousness overloaded in my head. I saw you, I wanted you, I got you, I love you - the note on the flower bouquet read that. Going up on the escalator I was watching around hoping to see her, before she could see me. There she stood, looking at the newly released Revlon merchandise. These girls _/\_. Boo, she got surprised. By the time she turned around, I was on my knees and she was the happiest woman on the earth may be (could say that by the way she reacted). "Yes, oh my god yes, yesssss" she shouted" I didn't even complete my story, and he already thanked me. Smiling at his stupidity, I slept.
Next morning I couldn't find him. I was so sure, something of this sort would happen. *Tring tring* It was him, "Bro, kingfisher or Budweiser?" he asked. "We bwoke up" I guess that was his tears speaking :P
When did you even make up with her? O_o But hell, bro code.
"2 buds" I said and cut the call.
That's how different stories and reality are. Though it was someone else's reality, it's still a story, until it's yours. The hard truth no one would accept.
Chilling with the beers, he was looking at my phone and asks " Broo, who's this beautiful girl?". "Your next crush" I laughed out loud. Crazy night it was. A war between the reality and a story.
Happiness better be measured in terms of bubbles. There's only to some extent you can blow air into a bubble. Once it bursts, there's nothing left except disappointment. Happiness or disappointment, is a matter of choice. I like my choices, hope you like yours.
P.S. I like quoting "The Fault in our stars".
