The next step...

People keep saying, life is a race, run run else you'll be left behind. Why always compare life with a journey? Rather I prefer comparing it with "climbing stairs". Every person you come across has something to teach you, just that we never realize that we are already learning. World is always unfair, that's what the world says. What if I say it is only 80% unfair? No one's going to oppose me right! I believe we are always destined for the remaining 20%, though it all depends on what you choose. Even the earth takes 12 hours to bring back the dark night(I love batman too) filled with millions of stars and the moon. All it makes us do is, wait. At least an IITian does wait for nights to come :P.  Here's a story...

Long long ago, not so long ago, there lived a guy who loved movies. There's also another guy who inspired him about film-making. One fine day both decide to give it a try and start working on the script. It turns out to be a master-piece. Then the next step, finding the cast and crew. Everything was fine until the girl lead says she can't act. The first one takes up the responsibility of fixing up the issue as he thinks he owes something to the other. When inquired he comes to know that the manager of the girl is her father and he isn't interested in letting her act with new people. Eventually, they had to sit and talk to resolve everything. That man was so adamant. He being a photographer didn't like that behavior from her father. His philosophy was simple, even Nolan was new when he was directing his first film. At the end of the day, her father wasn't ready to let her act in the movie. The whole team had to have back to back auditions for days together. Six months later, he found an enthusiastic girl who very much suited the character in the film. The next 3 months they worked hard and the movies turns out to be a huge blockbuster.

Moral of the story? Nothing comes to us so easily. Even a potato is processed in so many stages to be served as french fries to you. Waiting is surely a time consuming process but even mangoes don't ripe as soon as you plant the tree.

There's this kid I came across, he might be 2 or 3 years old. That was my first ever family trip, glad I had my camera along with me. There was a small rock he wanted to climb and sit on. He was trying so hard to do that. His  mom saw him trying so hard and made him sit. But the kid got down and tried to do it himself. He tried, he couldn't, his mom made him sit again. I don't know why the kid was so particular about trying it himself. He tried for about a couple of times and then he did it. His mom was so happy looking at that. Then he smiled, Oh man! that smile, trust me. That might be his first achievement in life. You can tell, he was happy at that moment. I clicked that and went back to my room. Later that night when I looked at the picture, I learned something. Might be something which people have already told me, but when I learned it by myself, I knew I'm never going to forget that. Try and try until you succeed, success is for sure provided you work hard for it. Remember, time lost is always considered lost. All that is in your hands is, make that count. The child made it count.

Every step you climb might have hurdles or some obstacles. All you need to do is dribble like a footballer or scribble like a writer but face it, kill it and go further. Do something, make your every step count. Make sure you are eligible to climb, THE NEXT STEP...
